Continuing Professional Development
Delight works closely with teachers over an extended period of time to develop their skills, confidence and willingness to embed arts based learning beyond their Delight experience.
We want to support schools to embed culture and creativity. To do this we create high-quality robustly evidenced creative experiences for children, ensuring that teachers are enthused and skilled and that families have opportunities to support and engage.
Delight works closely with teachers over an extended period of time to develop their skills, confidence and willingness to embed arts based learning beyond their Delight experience.
Delight is an Arts Award Centre and Artsmark Partner. We support primary schools to embed Arts Award into day-to-day learning and Artsmark into their school vision.
Artsmark is the creative quality standard for schools, accredited by Arts Council England it provides a clear framework for teachers to plan, develop and evaluate arts, culture and creativity across the curriculum.
Arts Award accreditation is an individual child award and underpins our arts programme delivery. Trinity College London is the awarding body responsible for Arts Award.
Delight evidences the impact our programmes have on children, teachers, families and communities. We are passionate about empowering our partners through the gathering of evidence and strive to add to the national voice calling for excellent creative education for all.
Engaging families is an integral part of our work and one we have a track record of success with. The arts have the power to bring communities together, build bridges and open doors.
For a child to feel truly celebrated the praise of teachers and staff needs to be matched with that of families and the community.
As our programmes are subsidised, school partners are asked to demonstrate that the Delight programme will be used to support our core mission of closing the opportunity and attainment gap for children affected by disadvantage or those with additional needs. School selection is based on identified need.
