Delight in the Woods

Delight in the Woods offered Year 3 children a magical immersive learning experience. Developed in partnership with ZooCo Theatre Company and Box Hill National Trust, this much loved programme combined exploration of the local woodlands with theatrical magic. The six weeks of magic travelled from the woodlands of Box Hill to the children’s very own classrooms.

Through immersive storytelling and professional theatrical techniques, children stepped through the enchanted tree to enter another realm. A realm where stories help to keep the beauty of nature alive.
Crafted with input from teachers and performers, Delight in the Woods enhanced curriculum-based learning, developed crucial life skills, and fostered a connection with nature.

47% of children eligible for pupil premium showed an increase in empathy.

92% of children felt confident writing letters after participating in Delight in the Woods.
