Saving Størilund

Delight in Stories is a magical six-week adventure sparking children’s imagination through storytelling. It begins with a mysterious message about Størilund, a magical realm where stories come to life, leading to the discovery of Walter Wellibøøt, a gardener who needs help saving his Story Plants. The children, as the ‘Best Storytellers in the World’, embark on a quest to save Størilund. They breathe life into Walter’s last Story Seed by creating, writing, and telling unique stories. Weekly clues and magical ‘artifacts’ appear, guiding their journey as they nurture the seed into a strong Story Plant.

Delight in Stories empowers teachers to create magical cross-curricular experiences, blending storytelling with art, drama, and nature. It inspires children to write and read, culminating in a family sharing where they showcase their stories and artwork, leaving a legacy of mystery and imagination within the school.

They saw that there was even a second plant shooting off it and got even more excited. They all understood that the plant had grown because of their storytelling.”
